The downside of ordering via wallets from Bhojdeals

Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...

Suppose you are living in cities like Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur. You might have tried ordering foods online once. There are lots of options you can choose from while ordering food online. You can order from Pathao, Bhojdeals, Taatomitho, etc. So a few days ago I decided to order from Bhojdeals. I wasn’t ordering the food for myself. I was ordering the food for one friend, and it was her birthday.

So I ordered the food, and I paid by card. There was an option to pay via wallet apps like eSewa, Khalti, IME Pay, but I paid through the virtual card available on the IME Pay app. After 15 minutes, they called me and told me the order was canceled cause the restaurant I ordered from was closed that day due to Dashain. Then they canceled my order and said to me if I used Card or PayPal, it would take around 3-5 days for the money to arrive on my card.

But the interesting thing they told me was that if I ordered and had paid through any wallet like eSewa, Khalti, IME Pay, the money would be available on my Bhojdeals wallet, which didn’t seem right to me. But I wasn’t worried cause I used the card to pay and the money will be refunded to my account within few days. But it has already been six days and still no refund. I placed the order on Oct 12, and today it’s Oct 18, and I’m still waiting for the refund.

So if anyone wants to order from them, then I will tell them to use the card, cause for any reason, if your order got canceled or you canceled due to any reason. The money will be added to your Bhojdeals wallet, which you can only use on your next order or send to other users but can’t withdraw. Their website also don’t have any such things mentioned. They have just Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy page but not the Refund Policy page which is very actually important for these types of websites.
