These days if one needs to go anywhere they either use a personal vehicle, public transportation or they use ride-hailing apps which are providing their services for years. In Nepal, 2 apps are used the most i.e Pathao & Sahara. I know there are other apps too like Tootle, but that apps didn’t work on my mobile so I can’t write about it.
Pathao :
Pathao is a Bangladeshi on-demand digital platform providing services like ride-hailing, food, groceries in Bangladesh and Nepal. It was founded in 2015 and started its service in Nepal in 2018. Since then Pathao has become the biggest and most popular ride-hailing app in Nepal among its competitors like Sahara, Tootle, etc.
Pathao provides three services in Nepal at the moment; Ride (Bike & Taxi), Food, and Groceries. There aren’t many platforms with several users and riders like Pathao.

Price Comparision:
In the below screenshot you can check the pricing from both Pathao and Shara. The destination shown in the below screenshot is from Balaju Chowk to Kathmandu Mall (Sundhara). The price for the Bike is almost the same in both the app whereas the price for taxis has the difference of Rs50.
